“Being eclectic, being pragmatic.

Research and sensitivity to define new interpretations.”

Busetti Garuti Redaelli is a team of Italian Designers who develop products to satisfy new demands driven by emerging lifestyles as well as the enduring needs of everyday life.

Their roots are in Italy, but alongside the legacy of the Masters of Italian Design, their approach is deeply influenced by the values of Scandinavian design.

The development of all their projects aims to achieve simple solutions prioritizing usability and legibility of the object.
In this process, they rework traditional and innovative materials to design new discreet and gentle life companions.

They enjoy engaging with diverse types of projects, collaborating with companies across different industry sectors: furniture, tableware and kitchenware, faucets and ceramics, and beyond.

Biography

Manuela Busetti and Andrea Garuti met while studying Industrial Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, where they began facing design challenges together.
Their partnership was recognised early on: in 2004 they received the “Progetto Giovane” selection at the “XX Premio Compasso d’Oro ADI” for their degree thesis “Double”, an innovative neoprene cooler bag.
Since 2004, they started individual collaborations with different Studios of Product and Advanced Design in Milan.
In 2007 their project “Culla Belly” won 1st prize at the international award “Playing Design”, promoted by the city of Lissone in partnership with Triennale di Milano.
In 2008, they were selected for “Prime Cup 01“, an experimental project promoted by Regione Lombardia and Triennale di Milano aimed at improving innovation of selected SMEs in Lombardy, which culminated in a public exhibition at the Agorà theatre of Triennale di Milano.

Matteo Redaelli graduated in 2007 from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan as an Industrial Designer. That same year, their paths crossed during a shared collaboration with a design Studio in Milan.

In 2008, drawing on their individual experiences, the three decided to come together and found their own Studio, combining their different skills and sensibilities.

New collaborations followed with manufacturing companies across a range of sectors: kitchen and bathroom faucets, tableware, kitchenware, cooktops and ovens, indoor and outdoor furniture, and beyond.
